FRIDAY JUNE 27
Theme: 1980's Team Day
The opening day of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Track & Field will bring the past to the present by honoring the last Olympic Team decided at Hayward Field which was unable to compete because of the US boycott of the Moscow Games. The Opening Ceremony will feature 1980 Team members. The Eugene 08 Festival will showcase 80's music and highlights from the 1980 Olympic Trials.

On the second non-competition day, we will celebrate Community Day. There will be an all-comers meet for individuals of all abilities ages 13 and up starting at 4:00 p.m. To acknowledge those in need in our community, Food for Lane County will position bins at the entrances to the Festival and community members are encouraged to bring donations.

There will also be an art exhibit/challenge in Eugene 08 partner Windermere Real Estate’s tent.
