Join the Zombie Cause slash Craze

Because we like to be a nice, good community newspaper (but mainly because it is National Disaster Preparedness Month; thanks Katrina!) we'd like to pass on this little opportunity press release we received in our inboxes to all you Eugeneans in need of a cause (because there are oh so many of you out there).

The Zombie Squad has arrived in Eugene!
The Zombie Squad is forming a chapter in the Eugene/Springfield area. We are looking for volunteers to assist in wiping out the scourge of the walking dead, to educate the public about the importance of personal preparedness and self reliance, and to increase its readiness to respond to a number of disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and tsunamis (or zombie outbreaks).

To achieve this goal we provide a number of services:

Seminars

We offer a number of "zombie survival" courses to give you the confidence of knowing that you are better prepared to survive when the dead come for you.

Charity Work

We support a number of charities through charity fundraising events, volunteering our time or monetary donation... such as:

Zombie Movie Festivals, food drives, blood bank drives etc.

As a group of Zombie Squad members
Store proceeds
Proceeds from the Zombie Squad Store help pay for not only our webspace/forum, but a portion of the proceeds also go to Disaster Relief charities.

Zombie Con

Zombie Con is a large annual camping gathering of ZS members and ZS supporters from around the country. We get together make plans for the future of Zombie Squad, test out our survival skills, and enjoy each others company while taking a needed vacation from the stress of our work.

Online Disaster Preparation Education

Forum
One of our more popular features is our zombie survival forum. We use the forum to discuss topics like disaster scenarios, personal survival experiences, product reviews (items like survival kits and radio equipment), make plans for future events, and, of course, critique "zombie training films".

The Zombie Squad Syndicate is a collection of useful tips and reviews from the experts for reference to help prepare yourself for the worst case scenario.
